World Fair Trade Day
Chicago Fair Trade and Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection presents World Fair Trade. The event includes a Radio broadcast by WBEZ offering interviews with fair trade businesses and consumers and Alderman Ameyya Pawar, the sponsor of a sweatfree apparel ordinance. At noon, Leaders of fair trade and local Chicago businesses will feature a fashion show with apparel that is made under fair trade condition for workers both in Chicago and globally to illustrate Chicago's commitment to fair labor and environmental practices.
