St. Lucia Day Ceremony

St. Lucia Day honors the Sicilian maiden who was martyred for being a Christian then mysterious appeared over a century later to feed starving villagers in Sweden. In Remembrance of this heroic Christian will be the Crowning of Chicago's St. Lucia of 2012.
