| Description: | Work has started on the 59,000-square-foot community center. Plans for the facility include a day-care center for 96 children, multi-purpose rooms, an indoor swimming pool and a softball field. Several agencies will participate in the community center project, including the Chicago Housing Authority, the Chicago Park District, the City of Chicago and the Chicago Public Schools. It is expected to be completed in the spring of 2005. |
