| Description: | The design of the fountain is still conceptual-but what a concept: a large rectangular highly reflective pool of very shallow water with large glass blocks at either end, each perhaps 50 feet tall, with water cascading from the top. Feasibility studies are underway to determine exactly what can be done, but Spanish sculptor Jaume Plensa is hoping the transparent twin blocks will be able to display a variety of photo images-ranging from nature scenes to typical Chicago faces-which will continually change. |
