This Contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).

Project Description
New Construction of an 111,000 GSF, 1,200 student, 3-story elementary school. The school will include 44 academic classrooms, 2 computer labs, 3 science classrooms, 3 art/science classrooms, 2 music rooms, kitchen and dining facilities, gymnasium, library, and administrative suite. Building construction will be concrete and steel frame over spread concrete footings and an exterior envelope consisting of cold formed steel studs and masonry veneer. Site improvements comprising of a new parking lot for 51 cars, storm water management improvements, new sidewalks at south and northeast of parking lot and main property, new vehicular drive at west edge of property, and a refuse / delivery area at southeast of project site.

Bid Opening:
Sealed responses shall be submitted and received at the Public Building Commission, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Room 200 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015, and then and there publicly opened.

Pre-Bid Meeting:
A pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015, 9:30 a.m. Second Floor Boardroom, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington. Contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers are invited to attend to meet the pre-qualified firms bidding on this contract.
