Project Description
135,000 GSF, 1500 student, 3-story middle school located at 6018 South Karlov Avenue. The school will include 48 classrooms, 3 special needs classrooms, 3 breakout spaces, 4 science classrooms, 4 computer classrooms, 2 art classrooms, 1 music classroom, dining center, hybrid kitchen, gymnasium, library, and administrative suite. Building construction will be concrete and steel frame atop spread concrete footings and an exterior envelope consisting of cold formed steel studs and masonry veneer. Site improvements comprising of a new parking lot, storm water management improvements, sidewalks, vehicular drive, artificial athletic turf fields and a refuse / delivery.
Bid Opening:
Sealed responses shall be submitted and received at the Public Building Commission, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Room 200 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, and then and there publicly opened.
Pre-Bid Meeting:
A pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015, 11:00 a.m. Second Floor Boardroom, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington. Contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers are invited to attend to meet the pre-qualified firms bidding on this contract.
